Toni, the mother of my very good friend, Julie, died more than a week ago and today was her memorial service. Dad was the celebrant in the service. Toni, and her then husband Jim, were our first neighbors upon moving to California. Julie and I kept in touch all these years, after only living next door to them for less than three years. We were 5 when we met. Toni babysat us (me and my sisters), so we were over to their house half the time and they were over at our house half the time. It is sad to see her gone. May she rest in peace.
